Dear Friends,
For those of you who liked the Arroyo Seco Chardonnays of the past, we have a treat for you - I just received two pallets of Lot 328 2010 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay back into our main inventory. They were originally marked for export, but never ended up shipping out (don't worry, they've been properly stored in our warehouse the entire time). Though not quite as oaky (50% versus 70%) as the other Arroyo Seco releases (Lot 320 and 330), the wine is still rich, lush and drinking about as good as it ever will right now. Definitely a rockstar white wine to grab by the case for all your summer parties. Toasty oak, hazelnut and baked apple leap from the glass. The palate is creamy, fresh, and nutty, with pear fruit and honeycomb. Delicious!
Up next is the absolutely beautiful Lot 364 2011 Atlas Peak Chardonnay. Made in a reserve style with 40% of the wine barrel-fermented in a combination of new French and Hungarian oak, this is an absolutely gorgeous example of California Chardonnay. The aromatics are exotic and pure, with Vetiver and Bergamot essence overlaying a chorus of ripe fruits and white flowers. The palate is rich, with orange and peach marmalade flavors intertwined with balsam and amber notes. Excellent length and pitch-perfect balance make this a Chardonnay just about anyone could love - including the big, oaky, buttery crowd! Super complex and super classy - compare this at $30 plus!
As always, if you have any questions or need help with placing your order, please don't hesitate to email us or call 800-805-1971. |
