Dear Friend,

Today's release, Lot 246 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon sourced primarily from top vineyards near St. Helena and the Stags Leap district of Napa Valley. The St. Helena fruit provides elegance and structure, while the Stags Leap fruit provides the intensity and rich color. We also included a small portion of Petit Verdot from a great vineyard near Calistoga. This small infusion of Petit Verdot helps round-out this exceptional Cabernet. Combined, Lot 246 is balanced, powerful, fruit forward, unrelenting, and deliciously aromatic. Compare to $65+ wines.

Lot 246 opens with beautiful cassis, toasty oak, and dusty, dark fruit notes on the nose. This is classic 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet with pretty layers of plum, graphite, dust, and warm floral notes at its core. The palate shows refined tannins, both vibrant and playful that resolve in a sustained finish with a lengthy dark-cherry center. This wine was aged in 100% French oak for fifteen months, giving it spectacular elegance and grace. A terrific value at $20, hold or drink through 2024.

As always, if you have any questions regarding this release, any of our other wines, or just general wine questions, please don't hesitate to call us at 1-800-805-1971 or email us. We are always happy to hear from you.

Cheers!
