California’s Lodi AVA has been one of the world’s most consistent producers of world-class Zinfandel, creating instantly recognizable reds that are impossible not to love, vintage after vintage. It’s no wonder why the classified source for today’s release Lot 889 2020 Lodi Zinfandel, along with other major players like Cline, Turkey, and Bedrock have made Lodi the spot for their most important reds.

Historically, Zinfandel has been the most important varietal planted in Lodi (an area that often gets incorrectly categorized as a hot region, when, in fact, climatically, it is more in line with regions like Napa Valley), creating bold, bright expressions of the grape. At just $16, this is one to grab a case or two of as it will pair marvelously with anything you pull off your grill, or just sip and savor on a warm evening on the patio.

Lot 889 pours a deep ruby-purple in the glass with mouthwatering brambleberry notes on the nose. On the palate, you’re greeted by juicy waves of blackberry, black plum, and a kiss of toasty oak with a vibrant, fresh, long finish.
