Dear Friend,
Today’s releases are a reprise of the 2009 releases from the Casablanca and Leyda Valleys in Chile. You’ll recall my fervor for these wines last year and I am pleased to tell you that today’s releases are every bit as good, if not better. 2010 was a terrific year for the cooler coastal climates of Chile and a slight improvement over 2009 which, we thought, brought us some terrific wines. Both the Leyda Valley Sauvignon Blanc and the Casablanca Chardonnay were enormously popular last year and I expect both will be just as popular this summer.
Lot 302 2010 Leyda Valley Sauvignon Blanc is very consistent in both style and direction – citrus, melon and fresh cut grass lead to a mouth watering midpalate with juicy acidity and plenty of delicately rendered fruit.

Lot 306 2010 Casablanca Chardonnay is pristine and fresh with abundant peach and pear backed up by butter and honey. Both of these wines are terrific follow-ups to last year’s releases – whether they are better is up to you, but I can say without a doubt they are just as good. These are terrific wines for summertime…

As always, if you have any questions regarding this release, any of our other wines, or just general wine questions, please don't hesitate to call us at 1-800-805-1971 or email us. We are always happy to hear from you.
