I am sitting here with a glass of our Lot 402 2012 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay and a huge grin. Our perennial best seller (except for 2011, when we were unable to get a drop) is back and it is rich, buttery, and drop dead gorgeous. Possibly our best yet, but at least certainly on par with the fantastic 2009 Lots 238 and 280 Arroyo Seco Chardonnays. Why do I say better? I think these wines possess all the impact of the 2009s but with better purity and complexity. Need I say more? Grab a case or two and drink over the next couple of years. Compare at $20-25/bottle.
Also, please say hello to our first Central Coast Pinot Noir since the 2009 vintage: Lot 405 2012 Central Coast Pinot Noir. Sourced primarily from high-end vineyards in Arroyo Seco (with a splash from Westside Paso Robles and the Russian River Valley), this is ridiculously good Pinot Noir at an amazing price. It has beautiful aromatics, a rich, warm midpalate and long, lush finish. Like the Arroyo Seco Chardonnay, this wine features tremendous purity and complexity along with impact, and will appeal to not just Pinot fans but Cab lovers as well. Compare at $25-30/bottle.

Lot 402 2012 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay features a gorgeous nose of peach, honey, and guava, with hints of lemon oil and banana. The aromatic backbone is a honeyed beam of acidity that runs through the palate, carrying intense flavors of honeysuckle, vanilla, and tropical fruit. Mouthwatering buttery texture and a long lush finish make for an absolutely scrumptious wine.
Our Lot 405 2012 Central Coast Pinot Noir leaps from the glass with classic aromas of smoky black cherry and plum, supported by spicy raspberry and high-toned violet florals. Lush cherry and bramble notes dominate the fleshy palate. Supple tannins integrate seamlessly with plum bass notes in a long, juicy finish. And I mean long, juicy finish. Plush plush plush and fantastic!
