Dear Friends,
Hopefully spring has sprung in your neck of the woods, and you’re in need of some rosé. Today’s release, Lot 349 2011 Napa Valley Rosé, is sourced from very high-end Cabernet Sauvignon saignee programs where free run juice is drained off the must, allowing the remaining juice to concentrate and darken. We originally sold most of the 700 cases to a retailer, but held back a little less than 200 cases for release this Spring. This is the only rosé we have in the pipeline, so if it sounds like it’s up your alley, please know it will not last long.
Blood orange in color, this Napa rosé has a beautifully uplifted nose of watermelon, raspberry and citrus. The palate is juicy and fresh, but also nuanced with delicate acidity and mouthwatering fruit. Would be great with a variety of spring and summer salads, but also has the structure and impact to work well with pork and chicken dishes. Overall, it’s a little bit bigger scale than your typical Provencal rosé, but just as pretty. A fantastic value. Compare at $20+, and if you take advantage of our current Tax Relief promotion and order before April 15th, you can also get free shipping with just 6 bottles!
As always, if you have any questions, comments, or need assistance in selecting the right wines for you, please do not hesitate to email us or call 800-805-1971. |
