Wine Details
The 2007 Hughes Wellman Cabernet is a dramatically styled wine with great intensity. An opaque purple black color is coupled with purity, length and grace. Blackberry essence is woven with mocha, graphite, and Crème de Cassis. The palate is lavishly constructed with formidable structure to support its aromatic fireworks.
Mouthwatering and dense, blueberry fruit, black raspberry and crushed plum are supported with extravagant concentration and structure. The finish is a sixty-second experience not to be missed; undulating waves of fruit and liquid mineral build to a mind blowing crescendo.
Multi-layered, juicy and nimble this wine rises to the full potential of the La Herradura Vineyard in hills to the east of Saint Helena.
