Red Blend

This blend of select lots is considered among the finest in the Seven Kingdoms by those who prefer dry, robust reds. And we do like red. Often served at feasts, paired with hearty meats, roasts and blackbird pie, poured at Small Council sessions.

Dark black cherry, brambly blackberry, vanilla and cocoa aromas. Soft, juicy black fruit flavors combine in the mouth with hints of leather and spice. Tannins are round and chewy with a rich, juicy mouthfeel that ends with a warm and spicy toasty, vanilla-laced finish.

Cam Confidential

Bob Cabral has been involved in growing grapes and winemaking with his family since he was a boy. A fourth generation farmer and grape grower, Bob is best known for serving as Williams Selyem's winemaker for 17 harvests. Wine Enthusiast named him Winemaker of the Year in 2011. His Williams Selyem Estate Pinot Noir was the first ever 100-pt scoring California Pinot Noir by a major publication, and he has crafted over a hundred wines that scored in the 95-100 point range over his career.

A fan of Game of Thrones, Bob was challenged to craft wines to match the strength of the characters and the terrain of their kingdoms. These wines are excellent examples of California winemaking - enjoyable now, yet also rewarding careful cellaring. Bob intended them to complement the sensory experience of the HBO® series.

Pleasantly surprised by this! The GOT label brought me in, and thoroughly enjoyed the first bottle we opened. Let it open up a bit - you'll be impressed. Expect it will get better with a little more age....

Wine isn't as good as I thought it would have been. I am thinking that it was because of shipping. The bottles were extremely hot when unpacked and I think that changed the taste.

So, I don't think it's a reflection of the wine itself, but who knows.
