Wine Spectator review: 92 points - Shows some maturity already, with singed spice and gently mulled cherry, raspberry and plum fruit flavors, framed by light vanilla and cedar threads on the finish. Drink now through 2025.
Right up the middle stylistically, this blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre is garnet red with a gorgeous nose redolent with smoky, spicy cherry/raspberry notes enveloped in meaty, gamey purple florals. It lands on the palate with real depth and dimension, featuring gobs of peppery raspberry, cedar and roasted vanilla notes that get real traction with just a bit of air. From a weight perspective, this CDP lands somewhere in-between a full bodied CA Pinot and Napa Cabernet, and is sure to please just about any red wine drinker. Immensely pleasurable, imminently age-worthy and collectible.
