Wine Details

Aromas of cherries and raspberry spice initially leap from the bottle. On the palate, this is clearly New World Pinot, through and through: Bold flavors of cherries and wild strawberry backed by savory spice, a kiss of coffee, and a long, lingering finish. This is a big Pinot with a backbone that will continue to please sip after sip.

Cam Confidential

After spending over a decade sourcing wine throughout California, I am confident the best Pinot values are found in Monterey County. Here, the temperate coastal conditions of Monterey Bay establish a perfect setting for growing Pinot Noir; the chilled marine air sweeps through the Salinas Valley, providing the vines with foggy mornings and cool afternoon winds. The result? Extra long hang times that produce wines with vibrant, focused flavors and beautiful extraction. CAM Collection Pinot Noir is sourced from a top producer in the region whose Pinot releases start at $25/bottle, and is a testament to our continued efforts to deliver the best product for the best price, period.

Nice berry nose and finish. Drinking now but may be a bit better with some more time in the bottle.

I was fortunate to live in Paris for just over nine years in total - candidly I do prefer living with you Americans in general however, you can't beat their 'playground'. At home I drank Burgundy, albeit (on paper) the lower end stuff - since i relocated to Cali in 2009, i have been loving discovering the full bodied cabs, zins and red blends but hadnt got into new world (inexpensive) Pinots until I took a chance on this Cam C Pinot - a chameleon with respect to the enjoyment journey from p&p to the last glass lasting just over two hours - am buying more now. Surtout pour le prix..bien joue, Monsieur Hughes (et son equippe)!

Open early and give it time to breathe. Then you are in for a well balanced and not over the top fruity Pinot that lingers on the taste buds like an expensive Pinot twice the price. I ordered a case and now another case. Great wine! Great buy!

Reordered a case of this one. Love the lingering notes after a wonderful, interesting, somewhat fruity initial taste.

I was impressed with the great taste of this pinot noir with a touch of oak. Usually, the oak can overpower the grape, but not in this wine! Order one case initially and then ordered two more!

You can't beat this Pinot for the money. Best when settled after shipping and decanted for a couple hours. Awesome value for the quality of the wine.

It's tough to complain about really good wine at these prices and it certainly beats any average wine store bottle in the mid $20's but the two I had were lighter than a medium body- much better after a few hours open. light fruit but great flavor -just a little more straight forward than I would have anticipated. On to the next!
