A nice, solid wine. My wife and I like to open a bottle on Friday nights for a happy hour with snacks and this is a good choice. Nothing fancy, but good for the price.
Good Zin, nothing extraordinary, average wine for $13. I have seen better CH selections at this price.
big and bold
Very enjoyable. Cameron knows bold red wines. Great with a hot bowl of soup.
Did not enjoy - terrible aroma
This wine has a terrible smell and I think this negatively impacts the taste. I have enjoyed every CH wine I've ordered except this one. It was bad enough to pour it out rather than power through the bottle.
Great party wine.
I served this for a party and everybody loved it. Its great for the party that doesn't always have the most discernible wine drinkers that you don't want to bust the bank on. And for those that are, its still a very enjoyable wine!
Our go-to wine
I've ordered this 3 or 4 times and currently have two cases. We favor Zins, and this is our go-to Zin for a daily wine.
Ted the Vino Tarzan
Other CH zins and red blends are far far superior to this. Not worth the money at half the price. The other reviewers that rated this higher don't know zins.
Day one provided a nice, silky smooth, aromatic, berry taste of a zin, so I decided to let it breathe for a day to really enjoy it. Unfortunately, it didn't get better. This was not a typical zin- I was disappointed that it got bitter- not as full bodied as most zins I enjoy are-- kept looking @ the bottle to make sure I had the right varietal- hence, the Zin-fused! Not my fav CH wine-many better selections.
Not on par
There are better options from CH at this price point
A very nice surprise
At this price, you will be surprised at how really good this zin is. Must buy more.
