Taste: Tremendous fresh herbal and minty wintergreen aromas burst out of the glass. This concentrated, deep purple Syrah is unique and differs from most California fruit-bomb-style Syrahs and is reflective of its rustic terroir. It has a substantial old-vine character, effortlessly blending chocolate, anise/fennel, and spice with notes of blackberry and black currant, all framed by vanilla notes from new American oak. As the taste lingers … and lingers, you will think to yourself, "Wow, that's a fantastic wine!" It is scrumptious now and will reveal many surprises with some bottle age. Enjoy this full-bodied Syrah with a juicy rack of lamb or New York steak!
Cameron Confidential: This wine comes to us as a stand-alone from another entrepreneurial guy in the business. Having just started up a custom crush facility he sold us some of the bottling blend to buy the glass, corks, capsules, etc. he needed to bottle up his own wine. This is fantastic juice, and we are happy to admit we paid above market pricing to get our hands on this stuff—it's well worth it.
