Taste: Very gentle, golden hue with aromas of quince, honey dew, and just a kiss of French oak. With no evidence of malolactic fermentation, notes of fruit sorbet occupy the bouquet. This wine presents a nice first impression on the palate with lovely structure that offers a velvety mouthfeel. Entering with a blast of round melon flavors and equitable acidity, this wine coats your mouth with a fullness that is simply well crafted and a finish that hangs on.
Cameron Confidential: Coming to us from the same source as Lot 138 Santa Barbara Cabernet, this Chardonnay arrives directly from San Luis Obispo County, aka "Slowtown." I actually went to school in that area and was a total cellar rat down at Corbett Canyon Winery during those years. In other words, I'm very familiar with the area. The winery where I found this Chard has produced great wines in the past, and I was very excited to get my hands on some of its production. It's an absolutely quaff-able wine and another fabulous addition to our Central Coast whites such as Lot 117 and Lot 118.
