Lot 316 was constructed from mountainous vineyard flanking either side of the Napa valley, in the Mayacamas to the west and the easterly Vaca range. The Merlot and Cabernet Franc add texture and dimension to the blend. The wine has a ripe and uplifted nose which is underpinned by fleshy black fruit and serious mountain structure. The fact that great vineyards make great wines is really evident in this Cabernet. Soaring aromatics, pure fruit and classic mountain character come together in a stunning package.
